Information for Participation

The Speech Development Laboratory at the Ohio State University is looking for English-speaking children (3-8 years of age) and adults (18-40 years of age) with normal speech, language and hearing to participate in research studies.

Children who participate come to the lab for one to three visits. Each visit takes about one hour. During these visits children perform simple listening tasks set up as games. Most children find the games fun and interesting. They also receive $12.00 per visit, a T-Shirt, and a small toy.

  

Adults who participate typically come to the lab for one to two visits. Each visit takes about one hour. Adults are paid $12 per visit.

The information gained in the Speech Development Lab helps guide the design of programs for children with speech, language, or hearing problems. This is a great opportunity for children and adults to have some fun and help others too! If interested, please complete the one-page questionnaire below for each individual who would like to participate (please note there are separate questionnaires for adults and children).
